rynjel, stage name of Nathalie Arianna Lauryn Jelmini, is a Swiss singer-songwriter from Ticino, born in 2002. Passionate about music from an early age, she began playing guitar at six and has been singing for as long as she can remember. Growing up on a mix of rock and punk influences such as Green Day, Avril Lavigne and Paramore, among many others, she gradually developed a sound that blends raw energy with melodic sensitivity.
Her first formative live experiences came through Helvetia Rockt’s Female Band Workshops (2015–2017), where she started performing original music and gaining confidence on stage. She later continued her journey with the band Above The Rain, releasing the EP No Signal!, a project that helped her better define her artistic direction and strengthen her songwriting.
In 2025, she was selected for the La Gustav Academy, where she performed on national and international stages, further expanding her artistic perspective and live experience.
Now fully focused on her solo project, rynjel moves fluidly between pop, pop rock and punk, creating a sound that feels both personal and immediate. At the core of her music is a strong emotional honesty: her songs explore themes such as mental health, the fear of the future and the complexity of human relationships. Rather than offering clear answers, she is interested in expressing the questions, doubts and contradictions that often remain unspoken.
Her artistic concept, “punk fairy,” reflects this duality. It combines rebellious, almost chaotic energy with moments of fragility and introspection, resulting in an aesthetic that is both raw and intimate. This contrast is also central to her songwriting, where powerful, direct sounds meet vulnerable lyrics.
Through her music, rynjel aims to create a space where listeners can feel understood and less alone. Her work is driven by the belief that even the most difficult emotions deserve to be heard, and that vulnerability, rather than weakness, can become a form of strength.
